On a recent walking tour of Fell’s Point we were delighted to see a new mural of Douglass on Thames Street! The mural is on the side of the Bauer Workforce Opportunity Center, part of the campus of Living Classrooms.

* Whereas in Old Anacostia there are more than a half-dozen murals of Douglass and/or Cedar Hill, this mural is the first (and only?) mural of Frederick (Bailey) Douglass in Fell’s Point. There are, however, other murals of Douglass in Baltimore City. We hope to see more murals / public art pieces in Fell’s. – JHM / LHA
